Online Casino Cautions

A marketing affiliate for the Playtech-powered Vegas Red Casino was in the dog box this week after harvesting email addresses and then spamming one of the leading Internet portals. Unfortunately for him (or her) one of the recipients was Casinomeisters owner, Bryan Bailey who immediately investigated the spamming email traffic.

The affiliate was touting a spurious online casino branded Hi Roller Casino through deceptive links like familyrollcall.com/d1/check and bigclubs.com/d1/check, and there was a "front" for such a site. However, the player selection buttons all led to one thing - an immediate download, which is in itself not a good thing to do.

And when the download was initiated....it was Vegas Red Casino.

Some quick sleuthing by Bailey picked up the names Garth Clements and Garth Peacock at an earthlink email, and the phantom spammer can expect to be hearing from the Vegas Red affiliate program soon.

Bailey summed up the general feeling of his forum when he opined: "These are the sort of affiliates that should be hung, drawn and quartered. Spam mails and deceptive websites such as these are inexcusable."
